What is Delta 8 THC?

Delta 8 THC is a derivative and isomer of CBD and Δ9THC, the cannabinoid famous for the intoxicating effects of cannabis. However, Δ8THC is not as intoxicating and has many promising uses, although studies are currently lacking. Until recently this cannabinoid has not been widely available outside of the medical marijuana markets, but thanks to Congress and President Trump, the groundbreaking legislation known as the 2018 Farm Bill allowed for cannabinoids like Delta 8 THC to be legalized federally and we are now able to begin quantifying all of its many potential benefits.

Delta 8 THC Compared to Delta 9 THC

While both Delta 8 THC and Delta 9 THC can be intoxicating, many users report Delta 8 THC as being far superior and the opposite of Delta 9 THC in many of the best ways possible. Δ8THC users typically report feeling far more active and outgoing with increased confidence and almost none of the anxiousness and paranoia associated with Δ9THC usage. Delta 8 THC gives a more manageable “heady” feeling typically allowing for more activity while in use, compared to Δ9THC which tends to be felt more in the body and can often suppress physical activity.

The first issue that always comes up with Δ8THC is the legality. Our Δ8THC is derived from hemp, contains no Δ9THC, and is 100% federally legal. However, that does not mean that Δ8THC is legal in your state or territory. Before making a determination on purchasing this product, consult with a lawyer to make sure you are adhering to all applicable state and local laws.

There aren’t many studies on Delta 8 THC,  so we are just beginning to understand what this cannabinoid can do. As with any cannabinoid, the use of Δ8THC should be considered experimental.
